#PomeroyWSOC Draws with Holy Cross

SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Women's Soccer) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team faced Holy Cross College in  midweek matchup on Wednesday. The cold weather and cloudy skies didn't hinder both teams and the match ended in a 2-2 draw after two overtime periods. This marks the first tie game of the season for SMWC and brings their record to 3-7-1. Holy Cross moves to 2-9-2 on the season.

Hannah Miller continued to shine for the Pomeroys as she scored both goals for SMWC (47', 58'). In the net for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was Corre Matherly and she finished the game with 19 saves off 21 shots on goal. Yadira Castellanos accounted for one assist.

The Spartans goals were scored by Renee Montgomery (48') and Sydney Toth (81'). Marijka Pastoor recorded one assist. The goalie for Holy Cross was Carley Klott and she came up with five saves off seven shots on goal.

The Pomeroys will close out their season at the SMWC Athletic Fields on Saturday, Oct. 28 for Senior Day against Grace Bible College. The match is set to start at 2 p.m.
