DECATUR, Ill. (Women's Cross Country) - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's cross country team traveled to Decatur, Ill. for the H.W. Wright Classic hosted by Milikin University on Friday. The Pomeroy women ran well and finished in fifth place with a score of 136.
Senior Cheyenn Wright proved to be the fastest SMWC runner as she finished the race with a time of 24:29.77. Breanna Barger finished the race with a time of 24:32.34 while Kendyll Schulz ended the race with a time of 24:50.73. Saige Woodford finished the day with a time of 27:03.88. Corrissa Proctor crossed the finish line with a time of 27:50.75 while Teresa Dudley crossed with a time of 28:08.23. Celine Hornick ended the race with a time of 29:07.66. Taylor Burch finished the race with a time of 30:48.26 and Hanna Camden finished with a time of 32:06.33. Rounding out the team was Elizabeth Trausch with a finish time of 32:47.53.
SMWC will race again on Oct. 13 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill. The meet start time is set for 4:15 p.m.
