#PomeroyWSOC Falls to Anderson


SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Women's Soccer) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team went head-to-head with Anderson University on Saturday afternoon at the SMWC Athletics Field.

With the loss, the Pomeroys drop to 3-4 on the season. The Ravens move to 5-1-1.

Corre Matherly worked the goal for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and came up with 20 saves.

Anderson scored five goals in the first half of play and three in the second half. The Ravens were led by Emily Buchman with two goals scored at the 49.32 and 56:04 marks. Other Anderson players that scored were: Maddie Martin (16:53), Katie Frazer (19:30), Bailey Dornbusch (23:12), Danae Miller (25:16), Morgan Reed (43:45), and Beverly Tanner (70:53).

SMWC will take to the pitch again on Saturday, Sept. 30 as the Pomeroys travel to Shawnee State University. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
